So I’ve been ‘borrowing’ script ideas and words from ‘Aliens’ for a while now, and repurposing them.

I’m planning to stop soon, but some things are too deeply ingrained.

I’m back on a mac now, which makes life so much easier using photoshop. I was tempted to buy a bigger tablet oo, but at the minute am happier inking with real ink.

Art stuff , again this week, windsor and newton a DELETER G pen, and a Daler sketch pan.

Soundtrack:The Imperial March from Star wars, Nick Cave and the bad seeds – Hiding all away, The white stripes- St James’ infirmary.

I’m looking at the tools to get things onto a kindle, and figure it might be a chortle to plan that as as route for the next story arc of wychwolf. Adam is unsure if the story should still be wychwolf, when it moves on to the next part, but I have the domains, and it’s linked.

Braains

racing away with the G-pen, and my new windsor and Newton Indian ink…

I’m not sure I like it, it doesn’t  blotch as much as the DELETER ink… but what the heck, it’s all about feel. Soundtrack today is R4 Infinite monkey cage.

Once we get through the current part of the story, I’m handing the writing over to Adam, I’m hoping Dom will join in again, and maybe do a bit of inking? Perhaps we need another target to work towards… maybe next years thought bubble?

return of the tentacles

When I was at the UK Webcomix thing, I was rather taken by a tentacled bandana worn by our table neighbour… so I bought one…

It arrived today, and spurred me into having another go at the tentacled fiend whom we first meet in the sewers of London. Whilst I was deliberately trying a different style, I am quite surprised at the marked contrast in the style, of page 1, and tonights effort.

Testing

Testing

Trying to catch up with Adam’s novelisation, so I’m posting a second strip this week, and maybe even a third, so we can get into the story proper.

So here we introduce Eric Meek, scientist, and a giant killer robot…

Just out of interest, the test facility here, sort of exists. Out at Cardington, there are vast airships hangars, over 800 feet long, that really mess with your perspective. I went to college nearby, and was always stunned every time I passed them.
