We survived the day, gave out around 150 flyers, a couple of hundred stickers, and lots of smiles.
We couldn’t have hoped to have been amongst a more friendly bunch of people, the perkier than perky chaps from cascade failure, amazed us all day with their wit, and charm. Apparently they are Scotland’s second biggest export, after IRN Brew, and Kilts.

Cascade failure, and the best looking row of the show
On our other side was the ridiculously talented Will Kirkby, I chatted to him about how he keeps the line work so controlled, and he recommended using Windsor and Newton ink with a DELETER G nib and a brush for bigger lines. I will try it, as I have both a G Nib and some aged Windsor and Newton Black ink. Will’s companions were equally talented, and sported the most fabulous bandana.
Silently hunched over the steady stream of commissions was the saintly John Allison, protecting children from the rude words of more rum convention goers, and stunning us all with his aura of success. His work is faultless, and I am now the proud owner of a “We will do our Best, because we are British, and british is best” poster.

John Allison, champion of Decency
Next to John was the equally talented Cardboard life, complete with Shoebox diarama.
Other important highlights were finally getting my hands on James Turner, for brace of Beaver and Steve books. James is now doing odd things on his livejournal, having frozen Beaver and Steve, but the man is an undoubted genius.
I managed to get a pack of Ninja Bunny prints, the artwork is enough to make me weep, and hurl my lazy pens away.
I also bought a set of superhero stickers from squidbits, Jess Bradley, draws the most delightful images possible, and Mr Allison will have to be careful if he is not to be outdone by Jess in the heartwarmingly wholesome stakes, they must wrestle for that crown perhaps?
