I’m trying to get a bit more accuracy into the anatomy of our protagonists… practicing in public used to make me a little timid, but these days I’m less bothered.
I bought an app from the iTunes store that allows a mannequin to be moved to any position you fancy, so I can see what sort of shapes I should be drawing, but it’s proved a bit of a pain to get the model in the right place.
I know Stephen Silver has a much simpler app, which is basically a range of characters drawn from a range of angles… but that’s £7…
Anyway.. practice, practice practice.

That’ll come in handy

A long weekend spent teaching Dom a range of different painting techniques so he can experiment for his GCSE.
I showed him drypoint etching using perspex and a needle, watercolour inks, pastel chalks, letratone…
Anyway, the it means I ran out of time for doing the strip, so I cheated and did just one page.
I wanted to have something more like the power-up screen in “Rainslick precipice ..”
Maybe later.
Oh and I had to submit an assignment, 3 .xsds, 3 .xml, 1 xslt and a report…
…
and walk the dog…

Just realised I’ve already drawn this pic somewhere before.. not sure if I posted it here. Will dig it out and stuff it up as a blog pic.

It’s been another busy week, lots of trips out and about, combined with a dog that seems to live for going on walks and doing enormous poos.

Had another test for my CS degree this week too.

Anyroadup, longing for a bit of a break around the beginning of April.

For those of you joining us from the Covered blog, welcome to Wychwolf. We are 17 pages in to the first story arc. It’s worth while skipping back to the beginning, but if you just want highlights I’d suggest pages 4, 7 and 13.. they’re he ones with punching and stuff!

The novelisation continues apace over at http://www.wychwolf.co.uk .

We publish every Monday, which is a bit slack I know, but at least it means it’s likely to get done.

return of the tentacles

When I was at the UK Webcomix thing, I was rather taken by a tentacled bandana worn by our table neighbour… so I bought one…

It arrived today, and spurred me into having another go at the tentacled fiend whom we first meet in the sewers of London. Whilst I was deliberately trying a different style, I am quite surprised at the marked contrast in the style, of page 1, and tonights effort.
