I’m trying to get a bit more accuracy into the anatomy of our protagonists… practicing in public used to make me a little timid, but these days I’m less bothered.
I bought an app from the iTunes store that allows a mannequin to be moved to any position you fancy, so I can see what sort of shapes I should be drawing, but it’s proved a bit of a pain to get the model in the right place.
I know Stephen Silver has a much simpler app, which is basically a range of characters drawn from a range of angles… but that’s £7…
Anyway.. practice, practice practice.

I used to use this on all my Illustration projects, as it was specified for work on Letterland. I used a dip ink G pen, with No4 DELETER ink. The original was drawn at A3, scanned on A4, and stitched back together.
Soundtrack Samson – Regina Specktor, Other side of the world- KT Tunstall, Caught by the Fuzz- Supergrass.
And so we begin.
The first page that was actually drawn for the comic was page 4 or 5… the first three pages, act as a brief introduction to the characters, giving a hint at their roles.
