Enter the police in the form of plucky Brian Chough. The local CID, called out to the crime scene from his comfy seat watching a cricket match, he’s jumping to conclusions, but als jumping to action, and not afraid. What a thoroughly nice chap.

Art stuff.. lazy week, a fair bit of cut and paste here, but a couple of new bits, all done with a Staedtler pigment pen, 0.5mm this week as the others are running low on ink. Normal copier paper has replaced the Bristol board simply because it is to hand.

This is going to take some explaining

Oh well, I ran out of time again. I hadn’t properly scripted this page, and had a change of heart once I’d drawn it.

BUT my rule is to keep on going, doesn’t matter if it’s right, as long as it progresses things. The original idea was that Gerald under the influence of the psychotic drug, tries to kill Florence, who uses here psychic force field blast power to blow him away… But it just didn’t hang together. Not that the current script does either :)

Art stuff, this was drawn on a blast from the past, a sheet of my beloved FRISK CS2 HP watercolour paper. I used to use this on all my Illustration projects, as it was specified for work on Letterland. I used a dip ink G pen, with No4 DELETER ink. The original was drawn at A3, scanned on A4, and stitched back together.

KICK-Ass

I just read Kick Ass, and have to say I haven’t been gripped by a comic story plot quite so well in years… It is horribly, horribly, brutally violent, and coprolallic in the extreme…BUT, but, it is completely engaging…. and it made me realise how very slow the pace of our current story is. Sure we’ve had a some evisceration, and tentacle lopping.. but not enough.

I’ve got the next couple of pages already stacked in ComicPress, and I guess we have got a bit of Zombie dog popping up, but following pages are now down for a redraw, with more action in the characters, and possibly some more violence.

I’m not sure if I want to see the film, I think it might be a little wince inducing.
