I didn’t think I’d get this page done, as I’m off to York on Sunday, and then up to Edinburgh early on Monday… however I’ve not done much all day, so I managed to sneak in a hour of scribbling.
I got some comic books out of the library today, so I can have a look at the composition of the pages, I’m noticing how lazy I’m becoming, with very simple framing, etc… I want to try a few more interesting things.
Adam has written next weeks page, so I can spend a bit of time thinking of how it might work.
That said, odds are I’ll end up doing the same again.

Scene setting done… I’ve changed the script a little to try and make it easier to follow, Adam had some pretty abrupt jump cuts.
I was hoping for a more artistic look, but have slipped to default mode, due to time pressures… lots on at work, plus my online BSc, plus visits from Aunties, Uncles and such like.
Art stuff, is as last week..
next week I’m hoping to have something slightly different.
Work has filled every moment of my life with marking. The tiny gaps between marking, is filled with study for the BSc I’m doing in Computer Science. The space between the electrons in this non-existent time is wedged to overflowing with wychwolf, plans for a picture book, and sleep.
Looking forward very very much to Christmas.
Art stuff: I’m now working in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, using my old trusty Wacom, to work on inked drawings made on loose leaf paper with Rotring isograph pens, and pigment fibre tip markers.
I looked at a wacom Cintiq 12WX and was sorely tempted… maybe in the new year.
There is without doubt an awful lot of utter ar$e talked about almost everything. Luckily a great deal of it is fantastically amusing. When I was looking for image references for the pyramid eye that is found on US currency, and adorning the tomb in the story, it was like hitting a rich seam of glorious lunacy.
I found so many people who are living incarnations of Garth Marenghi, one favourite included the phrasing ”I am very fascinated with this amazing world we call Earth, the Occult, the Paranormal and the Unknown.” which made me laugh an awful lot.
Anyway. Single panel today. Mainly cut a paste, in PS elements (which I still prefer to CS3)
Thinking about getting a cintiq, but it’s a shed load of money.
Have a good week, Rob (Fabulist and Dreamweaver plus artist)
