There’s some argument about what makes a Zombie… the zombies here are the result of fiendish experiments, more of which in future strips. But suffice to say there’s a tenuous link to scientific reality. The experiments on reviving dogs, replacing their hearts can be found on You tube, the chemical side of things, from the legend of the werewolf, which stems from ergot infection of ryebreads. These days ergot is used to create a drug that helps heart patients, Ergotamine, I had a friend who used to be a pharma salesman, and he’d say it had nutritional properties too.. If he sold it he got to eat.
