I struggled with the script for this page.. “Hot Lead…” I ask you
Anyway,
All drawn in the sketchbook, with usual setup, mechanical pencil, pigment inks, blah di blah.
I picked up some books at the library on photoshop in the hope of finding some useful tips and tricks.. I think there’s something in there about”multiply” layers, and such, but not sure whether it”l be ifs use to me. I’m happy with the results I have.
I have a day off tomorrow, so may try and get next weeks page in a buffer.
or not.

Big Week.
Busy Week.
Hope I’ll be a little more relaxed this week. My body is adjusting to taking the dog for a walk at 6.30 every morning… Study continues to fill my other waking moments.
I wait longingly for the end of the month and a bit of a break.
I’m quite tired this week. We have have a rescue dog, filling up the house, and reminding me of my life when the children were small.
Anyway, I managed to sketch out Today’s page using pen and paper with a dog occasionally poking it’s nose into things… which made me speed up a little.
The built in scanning support in lion seems to still be a bit poor, even though there was a recent system update which included canon scanner drivers.
Anyway, ink was a .1mm Staedtler pigment liner, too fine to get picked up properly by the scanner.
more next week…
… up here on the mountain, we will be safe, safe as houses…
..and what will happen to the houses?
…they will be swep away and consume-ed in the fire what is dancing on the Jeraboam , and serve ‘em bloody well right.
… or something like that…
I had a “Secret Policeman’s Ball ” tape when I was young, and for years could recite many of the sketches off by heart.. my memory fails me now, but I’m sure a quick google on You tube will identify the “end of the world” sketch.
I even went to see the FILM of the secret policeman’s ball… I seem to remember the end had Sylvester Mccoy trying to escape before a train with a fork attached to the front impaled him..
Of course may just be imagining.
Feeling lazy today, it’s so cold in my cellar, that I did a bit of cut and paste for today’s page. Promise to knuckle down and try harder for next week.
You may have noticed the similarity between my Surname “Englebright”, and “BrightAngel”.
My dad … Gerald, used to do a lot of research into family history, which I guess was considerably easier with a surname like Englebright, and Bright Angel is one of the supposed origins of the surname.
Anyway, he was always fond of an ancestor called Arnald, who was an Armourer in the City of London in 1373.
Nice to see him turning up in the story.
