It's July1942, in the hot a steamy bomb strewn city of london. Over the past few weeks children have been going missing, and the BrightAngel foundation have been investigating, and have tracked down a creature to the sewers.
Agent Gerald Broadstairs, swings his sword slicing the tentacles of the monster, the heat has penetrated even this far down, and the stench is overpowering.
Sweat glistens from his forehead, the creature is putting up a strong resistance... then the phone rings.
"Broadstairs, gather you team. The SEERS have detected an anomaly!"
Sweating from the exertion required to keep the creature at bay, Broadstairs replies with his usual understated calm.
"I'm a touch busy right now old fruit... can it wait?"
The reply was swift, and a trifle alarmed...
"The PKE valences are right off the scale! This is URGENT!"
Mustering all his resolve Broadstairs returned his focus to the creature.
If he left it now, how many more children would be taken?
As if sensing some weakness the creature readies itself to pounce.
In that moment Broadstairs strikes, hefting the sword in a deadly arc, cutting through tentacles, flesh, bone and slicing the creatures head in two.
"Hate to leave a job undone", he quips, and staggers towards the unremitting London heat.
