here are some of the photos of the sarcophagus in the gardens at Kingston Lacey, though it doesn’t show off the carpet of ladybirds…

I managed to rattle off a Wychwolf tale for the 24 Hour Comics Day challenge. The task is surprisingly tough, with time being eaten up by all manner of nonsense, changing brushes, picking the wrong brush, undoing and picking the right brush seemed to be a particular favourite of mine. I must refine my brush palette.
Anyway, job done. The Comic is available in .pdf here: http://www.wychwolf.com/24HCD2012-the_Last_Dragon.pdf
I’ll probably tweak some of the rough edges at some point and post a more polished version.

As you know we in the Wychwolf offices are fans of Bletchley Park, Turing, and early computing, so it’s good to see that FOTE are joining in the work to support the National Museum of Computing plans to rebuild Collosus.
It may be that Tommy Flowers will be making an appearance in Wychwolf in the near future.
Sadly my faithful Canoscan LIDE 25 has conked. I thought it was just a driver issue with Lion on my mac mini, but it has now given up the ghost when plugged into my Snow leopard macbook too.
I’ll give it one last bash using a PC, and then I’m afraid I’ll have to give up today. I’ll probably be able to pick up another scanner tomorrow, but maybe not.
Apologies for the delay
Just seen a bbc news article posted on twitter by @properjob. GCHQ have released some of Turing’s papers on cryptography…
To quote:
The papers, one entitled The Applications of Probability to Crypt, and the other entitled Paper on the Statistics of Repetitions, discuss mathematical approaches to code
breaking.
So very timely
Dom has spent the weekend working on GCSE coursework, which means nicking all my inks, and stuff…
…strangely enough he’s following the family theme and drawing some tentacled monsters destroying the world…
http://24hcd.blogspot.com/2012/02/24hcd-2012-is-october-20th.html
24 HCD is set for October 20th.
This year I aim to use this as an opportunity to work up a little side project based on the BrightAngel team. Adam has been collecting ideas, but obviously the whole point is to work out the whole thing in just 24 hrs, so I’m not going to think about it too hard.
I got a Domain renewal notice for wychwolf.com and wychwolf.co.uk today. That means it’s nearly 2 years since all this malarkey started. I looked back briefly over part 1 today and was pleasantly surprised that it hangs together better than it has any right to. Part 2 is underway, and whilst I have an idea of where it takes place, I have very little knowledge of what Adam has planned for the story.
I hope to gather and adapt part one into a kindle book sometime, probably over the Summer, if only to beat Steve to it.
New Year’s resolution is to keep to the weekly schedule.
Have a Happy one.
