Adam seems pleased when I don’t tamper with his script… I ran out of space for a couple of words this week, and you have more of a time tunnel effect than a puddle of water, but that’s just the way it goes.
Back to actually drawing stuff this week, on real paper with faber cast ell pigment marker, and a bit of scribbling from a mitsubishi uni-ball eye pen.
I feel a lot happier with the result even though I had to cover some nice bits with Adam’s words…
will try and leave more space for the yapping..
I got a Domain renewal notice for wychwolf.com and wychwolf.co.uk today. That means it’s nearly 2 years since all this malarkey started. I looked back briefly over part 1 today and was pleasantly surprised that it hangs together better than it has any right to. Part 2 is underway, and whilst I have an idea of where it takes place, I have very little knowledge of what Adam has planned for the story.
I hope to gather and adapt part one into a kindle book sometime, probably over the Summer, if only to beat Steve to it.
New Year’s resolution is to keep to the weekly schedule.
Have a Happy one.
I have to admit defeat. I struggled to get Monday’s strip done in a mix of Manga studio, and Sketchbook pro, but none of the tools are where I need them, and i rememnber why i ditched Manga studio before. It’s overly complex, old school software. I doesn’t make sense to my workflow.
I’m going to have to spring for a new version of photoshop…. unless…
my last hope is to use the old version of CS 3 on my powerbook.
I try and enter the 10 ton sketch challenge every now and then. They are a bunch of very talented artists, and give excellent criticism. I’m pleased I can jog along with them and just about keep up.
Last week I even managed to win… The robot may look familiar to those who’ve followed the story since the start, as he’s one of Eric’s test subjects.
Anyway…

I foolishly clicked an update button yesterday, which broke a WordPress plugin, which disabled a theme… Almost back to normal, apart form the strange change of text colour.
The Wychwolf team will be taking part in the minicomics day extravaganza, and squeezing in the writing, design, production and printing of a minicomic all into 24 hrs over the weekend of the 9th April… which will be interesting as we’ll also be visiting Kent University for the undergrad maths tour.
We’ll be printing a limited edition run of the comics, as my printer is slow and doesn’t have much ink… however these valuable limited edition mincomics will be available for free to readers on a first come , first served basis.
If you fancy getting your hands on one, just drop me a line ( rob.englebright@gmail.com) with your name and address, and we’ll send them out as soon as we can.
Rob
